"What does LightCmd currently do?"
Through a command line, LightCmd allows you to enumerate bridges on your network, and, once the app has been allowed access to the bridge, view your bridges' configuration, control individual lights, create and control groups of lights, and view and delete schedules.
"Can I have a copy of the source?"
Not yet. We're evaluating releasing some or all of the source. Our Engineering department insists on refactoring the code and doing a comment cleanup pass while Legal and Business are evaluating license options.
"Can you make a version for an operating system that isn't listed on the downloads page?"
We'd love to! Adding support for an additional operating system requires (at minimum) engineering resources and we have to prioritize that against adding additional features or creating new tools. If there's a specific one you have in mind, please let us know by emailing us at support@cminussoft.com.
"Can you add support for light systems other than hue?"
This is something we'd like to do! However, as with supporting other operating systems, we have to prioritize doing so against adding additional features or creating new tools. If there's a specific light system you have in mind, please let us know by emailing us at support@cminussoft.com.
"What do I need to use it?"
LightCmd works with current Phillips hue equipment.
Currently, at a minimum you will need:
(1) hue bridge.
(1) hue compliant LED bulb.
A personal computer running Windows 7, 8, or 8.1.
The hue starterkit, available at many retailers such as Best Buy, Staples, The Home Depot, and on Amazon.com, is a great way to jump in!
"I don't see my question answered here, can I ask one?"
Of course! We want to hear from you so please email your question(s) to support@cminussoft.com
